Tentara Nasional Indonesia - TNI or the Indonesian National Armed Forces is the Indonesian millitary organization units. TNI was previously known as Angkatan Bersenjata Republik Indonesia (ABRI). TNI was first established in 5 October 1945 as Tentara Keamanan Rakyat (TKR).
TNI is based in Jakarta and its headquarter is located at Mabes TNI Cilangkap, Jakarta Timur. As of December 2012, TNI has 476,000 active personnels in 3 armed forces, namely the Indonesian Army (TNI-AD), the Indonesian Air Force (TNI-AU), and the Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL). Since 30 August 2013, General Moeldoko was appointed by the President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as the Commander of The Indonesian National Armed Forces, replacing Adm. Agus Suhartono.

Calon Siswa Perwira Prajurit Karier TNI (PA PK) 2014General Requirements
- Indonesian Citizen (WNI), not soldiers, police members and civil servants
- Faithful and devoted to God Almighty.
- Loyal to the Republic of Indonesia based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.
- Minimum education of a diploma degree (D3) according to the needs of forces.
- Maximum age of 26 years old (D3), 30 years old (S1) and 32 years old (profession) at the opening of the first education.
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.80 (for S1 or S1 profession) and 2.70 (for D3) on a 4.0 grade scale (Accredited A), GPA requirement for accreditation of study programs "B" plus 0.20, except college built Kemhan / TNI, GPA requirements are not less than 2.80.
- Single or has never been married and willing to not married during the first study, except for the medical profession applicants are allowed. For Female medical profession applicants have not had children and willing to not have children / pregnant during the first education.
- Do not lose the right to be a soldier by a court decision that has gained legal force.
- Healthy physical, spiritual and drug free.
- Minimum height of 163 cm for Male and 157 cm for Female with the weight balanced according to the applicable provisions.
- Willing to undergo a first bond (IDP) for 10 years counted from then inducted into the military officer.
- Willing to be assigned in all over Indonesia.
- Does not have a criminal record in writing issued by the Police.
