PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk - BDI or commonly abbreviated as Bank Danamon is a reputable privately-owned bank in Indonesia. The Bank was formed in 1956 and initially registered under the name of Bank Kopra Indonesia. In 1976, the Bank renamed into Bank Danamon Indonesia. In 1989, the Bank went public and listed in Jakarta Stock Exchange (now Indonesian Stock Exchange/IDC). The Bank's shares traded under ticker code "BDMN". At presentm Bank Danamon controlled by Asia Financial (Indonesia) Pte. Ltd (67.37%), JPMCB-Franklin Templeton Investment Funds (6.40%) and the public (26.23%). The financial performance of Bank Danamon in 2013 showed a good improvement.
Bank Danamon successfully closed 2013 with an 8% increase in total assets to reach Rp 184.23 trillion. Net profit after tax (NPAT) continue to grow by 1% to Rp 4.04 trillion from Rp 4.01 trillion in 2012. This figures was stated by Bank Danamon in its 2013 annual report as quoted by JobsCDC.com.
